On the Auggener Liesten, the berries of the 58° Chardonnay grow gently and diversely in biodynamic cultivation. This top location is unique in the region due to its extreme incline and the associated high hours of sunshine. The balance is created by the calcareous loess loam soil, which provides the Chardonnay vines with sufficient water. It is the perfect balance of the essential elements of viticulture.
Spontaneously fermented in oak barrels - AuTerroir 58° Chardonnay
After a few hours of maceration, the hand-picked berries are fermented warm and spontaneously and mature in oak barrels without further intervention such as fining or filtration, exactly until they have reached the perfect condition to be passed on. In the natural stone vault in which the 58° Chardonnay is stored, there are only gentle temperature fluctuations. This allows the top natural wine to ferment and mature in a good balance. This excellent artisanal savoir-faire contributes to the unforgettable taste experience that the elegant Chardonnay brings with it.
